Do you have trouble saying NO to a friend’s request?  Does it hurt to hear the rejection of a NO?  How good are you at setting boundaries? Honoring the boundaries of others? Do you say MAYBE when you really mean NO?

Do you want to laugh more? Feel better? Make new friends?

Then this event is for you! The official name is Cuddle Party Columbus, but people think that is a little weird, so I’m not calling it that, OK?

That Weird Communication Thing

When: Saturday, December 17

Time: Arrive at 2:30, event starts promptly at 3:00

Where: Ki Empowerment Center, 933 N. High Street, Worthington, Ohio

“That weird communication thing” is first and foremost a communications workshop. It is a place to learn how to say NO and how to hear NO without feeling rejected. It is a time to honor your own boundaries and the boundaries of others. It is a safe place to explore affection and touch in a healthy, non-sexual setting. We all know that babies need to be touched to survive but many don’t realize that we never outgrow the need to be held, touched, massaged and hugged. We are human, we need to be touched to be healthy! Cuddle Parties – er … that weird communication thing – raises the oxytocin levels in the brain and the result is higher levels of happiness, a sense of peace and an overall better outlook on life. For some, higher oxytocin levels can also reduce body pain. Come join us and experience this fun, natural “high” for yourself!

PLEASE HELP!: The first three events will be “review” parties as part of my Cuddle Party Facilitator Training. Participants will be asked to fill out a brief survey of their experience. Won’t you please help me get certified? Just come! You only have to stay for the first hour for it to “count” for my certification.

Please don’t let money be an issue. I have a limited number of spaces available for assistants who can reduce their participation fee. Call or email me for details.

Arrival time is 2:30 and the event will start promptly at 3:00. Please be on time! Participation in the welcome circle is necessary and late-comers will be turned away. This is a drug-free, alcohol-free environment. Light refreshments provided. Dress comfortably or bring pajamas (we prefer flannel to lace)

Cuddle Party Columbus will meet monthly. Other days will be added as we grow!
